Sepharose and Sepharose CL
Sepharose series products of ion exchanger are the mainstream mediums special for the biochemical separation. They can work in high flow rate with excellent resolution. The bed volume does not change significantly when the pH range and ionic strength of the working liquid has been changed. So they could be used in industrial scale production and cleaned in-place for repeatedly use.
The bead structure of the Sepharose is not cross-linked, so the Sepharose, which can’t be autoclaved, only can be used in 2-40
